Origin Analysis

The Makefile was not updated when the site content moved from web/ to apps/www/, leaving stale paths and a botched find-and-replace that produced the invalid .PHONY target github.rcontributorsepos.

Run `make github.contributors` at the repository root. The command attempts to write to web/src/data/contributors/supabase.json, which does not exist, causing a shell error and make failure. Similar failures occur for github.repos, github.issues, github.traction, and dev.

Deleting the dead Makefile removes broken and misleading developer tooling. No workflows, documentation, or CI references invoke these targets, and the site data pipeline now lives under apps/www with its own tooling.

Before merging, verify that no external scripts or contributors rely on `make` at the root (none found in the repo). Rollback is trivial: `git checkout HEAD -- Makefile`. If the metadata-generation workflow is ever needed again, rewrite the paths to apps/www instead of restoring the file.
