Each client module reference in the flight payload serializes the entire chunk URL list of its chunk group. With Turbopack merging client modules into a shared chunk group, the same list is repeated for every reference, inflating SSR HTML by roughly 29% on real pages and growing quadratically with client references and chunk group size.
Next.js pages that load in hidden tabs, occluded windows, or iOS standalone PWAs may permanently show fallback content even after the streamed content has fully arrived. The vendored react-dom's streaming reveal scheduler only schedules the first reveal via requestAnimationFrame when $RT is undefined; hidden documents never fire rAF, causing the $RB queue to remain parked and no hydration to occur.
